I am using the DL 3 blade prop. The downlines are good...it's the uplines and horizontals that I'm struggling with. It seams to wonder a bit in the mid-range but I'm not sure that I should lean it out any more as I don't want to lose the braking.

Colin

rcmaster199@aol.com wrote:

Colin,

It sounds like you may not be propped correctly. Try the 18.1x10 or the Dave re-pitched 15.75x10 3 blade on the OS. You will have very manageable speed and excellent brakes on downlines. I felt I was chasing the model instead of flying it I added heavier silicone couplers because the airflow through the tunnel was not enough to keep the silicone cool enough. Teflon couplers would make it much lighter. I added baffles around the engine to keep the cylinder head cooler. I am running an OS 1.40 and an Aeroslave pipe. Even with the extra weight I have plenty of power to spare. I do suggest
trying to use a push rod system for the elevator to get the weight out of the Stab.
