Thanks for the help guys. Right now the elevator is exactly neutral when the plane is trimmed out, but I do know that the stab is at 0 degrees so I'll try and add a hair of up at a time.

Currently I'm running 20% expo both ways. I was thinking about reducing the expo for down elevator a little.

I'm pretty sure that I'm not pushing less than I am pulling due to the fact that I added a little more down throw because I hit the stops a couple of times on the push on the double immelman, but I'll have someone look over my shoulder the next chance I can.

Mike I'll be getting to Muncie sometime on Monday so maybe if you get a chance you can give it a once over for me.

Also take a measurement of the stab incidence, or as well as you can. It should be around zero. Also look at the alignment of the elevator to the stab itself and make sure you're not carrying any large amount of trim, because that can make things wierd.

I have a trimming question for you guys. A couple of days ago I was checking the amount of control throws on my first Black Magic V2 so that when I set up my backup plane I'd have a ballpark setting to start with. The ailerons and rudder were about what I expected, but the elevator was 5 degrees of up throw and 10 degrees of down throw. The wing incidence is set per the plans and the CG is at the leading edge of the wing tube with the wings off. The airplane has the same feel when I add up or down elevator. Inverted flight requires a little down elevator. Basically the airplane feels just right.

I'm wondering what you guys think I should do to correct the differential in up and down elevator throw? I was thinking that I may have a little too much positive incidence in the stab. Any suggestions?

Rick
