discussion and away from the original. This year will be my first
NATS...my goal is to not embarrass myself, that's it, no sense
setting the goal too high. I've flown in a bunch of local
contests, the intense nervous thing isn't a problem any longer, however,
I am fully aware that my first time stepping in front of the judges at
the NATS is going to be a real issue. My goal for my first NATS is
to have fun, meet a ton of people that I've only talked to online or
read about, and come away having learned a few things. Those goals
are completely achievable, and those goals I will achieve.</FONT></DIV>

the NATS were still able to be held in less than a month of flying
competitions... and all sorts of events were being flown

Scouts, flying in the AMA Delta Dart competition. (because the Cub
Scout leaders arranged for us to go) It was more a field
trip to get to see the other events though. </FONT></DIV>

many events at once. You may have to pick and choose which
to participate in if you desire to compete in several different

go from site to site and see many different aspects of
aeromodeling all in one day. But if you are actually
competing in an event such as Pattern... you aren't going to be

We have the Pattern Nats as a stand alone event, as we use all
three flying sites at the same time. That could change,
by allowing some Control Line events, but the problem we have
with aerobatics is that many times we over-fly the control
line circles from the "Stage Center" site… That would be
