<DIV><FONT face=Arial size=2>Tim,</FONT></DIV>
<DIV><FONT face=Arial size=2>DO NOT do what Matthew L. said with a DZ. If
you do, you'll have to manually prime the engine every time, and possibly
cause internal engine damage because of it running lean while running the fuel
out (it could backfire and cause all kinds of damage). The reason YS
recommends using the synthetic heli blends is because it is safe to leave the
leftover fuel in the engine (especially the Cool Power 30% HP Heli blend). I
had a similar condition with my 1.40DZ last weekend and it was caused by a
tiny bit of grass holding the pump open. I'd recommend tearing down the pump
assembly and giving it a thorough cleaning (replace any worn parts as well).
Also, make sure you're cutting of fuel flow to the pump between flights. I
know you said you have a cutoff, but if it's not used every flight this
flooded condition can happen.</FONT></DIV>

<DIV>OK I finally took the YS1.60 apart and when I pulled the Valve
cover to check the valve train I got what looked like a gallon of
fuel out of it. So being the Master of the Obvious that I am I must have
flooded it, BADLY. </DIV>
<DIV> </DIV>
<DIV>So what are the correct starting and end of day procedures for this
engine? I do have a shut off on the fuel line for between flights. Only
thing I can figure out for why it quit in the air was I had it too rich at
2 turns out.</DIV>

<DIV>The YS1.40FZ just doesn't have enough punch to fly the Focus with
authority.</DIV>
