<div>I have a junk plane that I use to test equipment before I install it in anything important. It is large enough that I can fly it at very high altitude, and collapse the antenna on the Tx to see what kind of range I get IN THE AIR.</div> <div> </div> <div>Bob R.</div> <div><BR><BR><B><I>Keith Black <tkeithblack@gmail.com></I></B> wrote:</div> <BLOCKQUOTE class=replbq style="PADDING-LEFT: 5px; MARGIN-LEFT: 5px; BORDER-LEFT: #1010ff 2px solid"> <META content="MSHTML 6.00.2800.1528" name=GENERATOR> <STYLE>@page Section1 {size: 8.5in 11.0in; margin: 1.0in 1.25in 1.0in 1.25in; } P.MsoNormal { FONT-SIZE: 12pt; MARGIN: 0in 0in 0pt; FONT-FAMILY: "Times New Roman" } LI.MsoNormal { FONT-SIZE: 12pt; MARGIN: 0in 0in 0pt; FONT-FAMILY: "Times New Roman" } DIV.MsoNormal { FONT-SIZE: 12pt; MARGIN: 0in 0in 0pt; FONT-FAMILY: "Times New Roman" } A:link { COLOR: blue; TEXT-DECORATION: underline } SPAN.MsoHyperlink { COLOR: blue; TEXT-DECORATION:

I've heard of people losing their replacement plane because they didn't realize they had either a bad TX or bad RX and they used them in the replacement plane. components used before (that you plan to use again, including TX) are faulty. </FONT></DIV> <DIV><FONT face=Arial size=2></FONT> </DIV> <DIV><FONT face=Arial size=2>I'm not quite this hard core, but Earl Haury once told me that when he has a crash he takes the RX home and introduces it to his hammer.
