Similar experience here...just finishing up a Carden Cap 232 (yes, for those who know me...it’s Black/Yellow/White and Silver...just shut up already. I’m red/green colorblind!) I have used both 25’ and 6’ rolls of those colors all bought recently with no difference from the older rolls I had that were several years old. All went on with the same iron settings (I use different irons that I never change) and all seem to have the same basic “feel” for working around shapes. I keep hearing about the new formula, but have yet to experience it.
I had no problems with any of it, and I used two rolls of white, and a roll each of missile red, purple, and yellow. Went on just like any Monokote I've ever used, at normal temperatures. I discussed the bad stuff with the owner who is pretty straight with me, and he said he hadn't had any complaints over the last year or two at all. Maybe the problem is over?
