It was real interesting when we gave a range of props to a guy and asked him to fly all the props back-to-back and pick the prop he liked the most. Then, he put on headphones playing music, and we changed the same selection of props on his plane in random order. He selected a different prop. The noise, particulary the rpm, gives a false sense of performance.
