We had 24 flyers which the most for a VA contest in many years. I wish to thank the FARM club for opening their field this years. It is a great flying site. Sharing the hanger with a super cub, 2 pitts and a J-6 being restored adds to the enjoyment.</DIV>

<DIV>We had quartering crosswinds of 15 to 20 on saturday. We started a 8am on Sunday so we could finish before the 60% of afternoon T-Storms could start up. I did have T-Storms in manassas when I go back home.</DIV>

<DIV><BR>The Northern VA contest is scheduled for the 23rd/24th of September 2006. This will be the D2 district championship for 2006. Out of district flyers are encouraged to attend. The FARM club in bealeton,VA has agreed to let us use their fly site this year. This is a great site which consists of a private 3000 foot grass runway. Weather allowing the field will be open for practice friday afternoon.
