FWIW, I smoked the very first one I had on the 4th or 5th use. I didn't
over load it. Something was wrong, but they promptly replaced it with a
new one that's been a trooper ever since.
With the cigarette lighter type jack on the front it makes a nice
device for powering all sorts of 12V devices. I like the ability to
adjust the voltage and the meters too. It's a great device for $200.
I've use this 45 amp unit from MFJ for the past two years.
http://www.mfjenterprises.com/products.php?prodid=MFJ-4245MV
I've been very happy with it.

My next purchase will be a Rig Runner to use with it.
<a class="moz-txt-link-freetext"

This will let me tidy up things when running all my chargers.
I like running several chargers at once, because lets me get all my
charging done in a reasonable time.

Ya I have a bunch of them, the ones I have wont handle 1 10s pack.
They all claim 25A as well but none of them will actually output it for
any length of time without significant voltage drop (which only drives
up the required input current).

Pardon the rant of a curmudgeon of the subject of power supplies for
electrics. As the son of a mother who was born in Scotland, I am
always looking for value. I often see products being bought and used
because a person or group with "credentials" uses them. As a group,
we are a bunch of lemmings and whatever the anointed individual or
group uses, we buy and use. Logic regarding value doesn't seem to
enter the discussion. For example, a current "must have" for the
electric-powered Pattern airplane guys is an Iota power supply. Will
someone please tell me what this very fine power supply will do that
a switching computer power supply from Geeks.com, with a 12 volt, 25
amp output and costing less than $20, won't do?
I could go on regarding motors, ESCs, chargers and batteries, but
I'll save those for other rants.
