jeopardy, with a smart D.A. (contradiction in terms, I know.)

arrested him; the word in the racing fraternity at the time was that he was
tried, judged guilty, and spent some time in the crossbars hotel. About

one of the first giant-scale air races out west, a guy was caught shooting
down planes with interference. He was found to have a radio in his car (maybe
it was hooked up to the car antenna??) and a whole box of crystals. Several
planes went down unexplained, until the frequency guy at the contest was able
to use some equipment to track the interfering signals.</FONT> <BR><FONT
