<DIV><FONT face=Arial size=2>Nat and Peter,</FONT></DIV>
<DIV><FONT face=Arial size=2></FONT> </DIV>
<DIV><FONT face=Arial size=2>I differ on this. I've built 3 sets of test
wings on an Aries with 20, 22, 24" ailerons. The idea was to see if I
could get more aileron effectiveness while flying at a slower pace on
uplines. this is where airspeed is lower and ailerons lose
effectiveness. The thought is to catch some of the prop blast to boost
effectiveness and give a more consistent feel.</FONT></DIV>
<DIV><FONT face=Arial size=2></FONT> </DIV>
<DIV><FONT face=Arial size=2>It works well. Do not be concerned about
longer ailerons affecting airflow over the stab. The swirling propstream
does far more damage. On the Symphony I found 22" to be my favorite and
I've updated the kit. On the Aries, 24" seems to work best.</FONT></DIV>
<DIV><FONT face=Arial size=2></FONT> </DIV>
<DIV><FONT face=Arial size=2>It sure is great to be able to continuously
improve a good desing into a great one. Every time you start over with a
new plane there's a whole new learning curve.</FONT></DIV>
