<DIV>Ed,</DIV>

<DIV>I bought the Ace Micropro just for pattern. I had problems trying to trim
the plane. To make a long story short, I figured out the resolution was 256 by
putting a long pointer on a Futaba 9101 servo. I could count the steps! The poor
resolution made it impossible to trim the plane for straight and level
consistently.</DIV>
<DIV> </DIV>
<DIV>It was a great radio for sport flying. I loved the autotrim feature. The
buddy box worked the way it should with any radio, only the stick positions were
sent over the link, then passed through the programming in the master radio.
Plug and play!</DIV>
<DIV> </DIV>
<DIV>If it had been 1024 or better resolution, I probably would have kept it. A
lot can be said for the computer radios, but the old analog radios had infinite
resolution. </DIV>

<DIV>Yes Bob, both my dad and I had Ace Micropro 8000's. They had a very
innovative ( at the time ) programming setup. I can tell you that
generic Futaba 9101 coreless servos had better resolution than the radio
had. For my dad using standard servos the radio was fine until Ace faded
way. He is very happy with his 2 Futaba 8UAFs radio's now. I was sad to see
them go, the last of the American radio's. </DIV>
<DIV>Of course we have it much better now with everything produced in obscure
parts of the world. </DIV>

<DIV>Been done, over 10 years ago. Ace did it with their Micropro 8000
radio. You could edit the radio setup on the computer, and save the
file to disk. You could then email the setup file to someone if
needed.</DIV>
<DIV> </DIV>
<DIV>There were a LOT of things I liked about that radio. Too bad it
was only 256 resolution!!! (Their answer: "256 is better than most servos.")
