<DIV><FONT face=Arial size=2> Another option is to drive a piece of 2X2"
pressure treated stock about 6' long into the ground about 30" and then just
slip a piece of 3"diameter X 10' pvc over the 2X2".I even made up a 20 footer
using a coupler and it worked O.K. The beauty of this arrangement is
that you can slip the PVC off any time you feel the need and just lay them
down beside the 2X2. At 150 yards in the woods the 2X2 is invisible
(and so is the pole). I spray painted the top 2 feet of the center pole
flourescent green and the end poles flourescent red. Works the berries

<DIV><FONT face=Arial size=2>Hey Guys,</FONT></DIV>
<DIV><FONT face=Arial size=2></FONT> </DIV>
<DIV><FONT face=Arial size=2>I am looking for some ideas for setting up some
permanent box poles. At our GA jets field, we have a tree line that is right
at 150 meters from the runway. The club is going to let us put up some poles
and leave them up since they will be in the tree line and not in the way. So,
I just wanted some ideas as to how other people have done this.</FONT></DIV>
<DIV><FONT face=Arial size=2></FONT> </DIV>
<DIV><FONT face=Arial size=2>We were thinking of digging some holes in the
ground and placing some concrete and a large size PVC pipe in the ground to
serve as a receptor for a slightly smaller pole. This should work well for 4
of the poles. The ones on the right side will be below a hill. So,
they would either have to be attached up in tree, or we do a similar
plan as before and make a really tall pole. How tall can these poles be
without breaking in the wind? </FONT></DIV>
<DIV><FONT face=Arial size=2></FONT> </DIV>
<DIV><FONT face=Arial size=2>I would appreciate any ideas or examples of how
this was done at your field.</FONT></DIV>
<DIV><FONT face=Arial size=2></FONT> </DIV>
<DIV><FONT face=Arial size=2>Thanks,</FONT></DIV>
