was unable to remove the liner when the head was sent out for the helicoil. It
is stuck pretty good. I can see a cascade of problems if I try to replace that
part alone. Considering the price of a new engine I am reluctant to spend a lot

because that is the only item you need. In the future, if you have a
stripped glow plug thread in the head then simply replace the head and avoid
this kind of problem. The heli coil method works, but it is better in my
opinion to have a new head. A new head really doesn’t cost that
