color=#000000 size=4>Well another Ben Oliver Memorial Pattern Classic is in the
books with Friday night starting the weekend with the mini e-pattern meet.
Cameron Smith, Bryan Kennedy and Marcio Jorge flew the Expert pattern and those
little planes did very well. Bryan was into his backup plane after Cameron was
doing a test flight and the motor came out, Hmmm maybe a way to eliminate the
competition...<vbg> During the meet food platters and refreshments where
out for all to enjoy. </FONT></P>

bit of fog, the 18 pilots gathered for a quick pilots meeting, and then it was
off to fly.<SPAN style="mso-spacerun: yes"> </SPAN>Saturday was going
well, and in the 4<SUP>th</SUP> round, Dennis Hunt was starting his motor and
then there was a yell for help from one of the KCRC club member. Dennis had a
bad laceration to the right arm, Lamar Blair was close by and put direst
pressure in place and I went from CD mode into my work mode (emergency medicine
– Paramedic) bleeding was controlled. Myself and another club member transported
Dennis to the local hospital a quick phone call on the way, he had an ER room
waiting for us upon arrival…The contest finished up with four rounds flown, and
Sportsman had five rounds done. Saturday night a group of the D3 pilots went to
dinner, drinks and the peanut fights at the local Texas Road House. </FONT></P>
<P class=MsoNormal style="MARGIN: 0in 0in 0pt 0.5in"><FONT
face="Times New Roman" color=#000000 size=4>Sunday many of the guys put in
several flights prior to starting to fly the contest.<SPAN
style="mso-spacerun: yes"> </SPAN>Dennis Hunt showed up to watch mid
morning and was doing better. </FONT></P>

face="Times New Roman" color=#000000 size=4>While the result where being tallied
there was a drawing for some cool products and even a plane from Great Planes,
all went home with something.</FONT></P>
