Good luck to all you hardy souls heading to the
Ben Oliver Memorial this weekend.

Sorry I have to miss it (Lamar is going) but
the past week has left me worn out.

Saturday the Air Conditioner for the
house went out-both condenser cooling fans died, and the compressor was
barely adding any "cool" to the air-the circulating fan at least kept
running. 97F on Saturday, 96 on Sunday,98 on Monday. New AC due in on
Tuesday

Sunday the Swimming Pool started
leaking-somewhere- and spent all day and Monday fixing anything I could find
that might be leaking. Got advice from Pool Dr. and fixed everything they
thought of. Must have fixed something, but still leaking and laughing at me.
I am going to get it by next Monday or forget it!

Monday dead-had to go to Birmingham to finish
up a 5 year Arthritus study I was in -had X-rays and MRI's on both knees. At
least some good news--nothing has changed over the past 5 years.

Tuesday/ Wednesday got the old out, and the new
in and now have a cool house again.

Thursday the hot water heater let go and
flooded the hallway-lucky we have a one story house-I guess? Cleaned
up-still at it underlayment wet and warping. May have to replace 60 or so
Sq. ft of it and the tile. Waiting to see whether it will dry out without
warping-not much hope since it is particle board. Did get the old one
out-shut off valve would not totally shut off, --19 years old so you can
guess why it did not fully shut off. I had to kill the water to the
whole house for a few hours while I went and got a new one. Of course it was
soldered in so that made it another problem finding all I needed to adapt to
copper without soldering.

Today-Friday--pool do or die, or know the
reason why by Sunday night. Lamar is on the way to Knoxville, hope he does
good. Taking the Agressor -electric with a little smaller prop--ask him
why--.

Hope all of you that are there have a great
time, good food, good socializin, good weather, great flyin, take home
what you got there with -all in one piece, and a SAFE
trip ---to--from--and while you are there.
