<DIV>Dean,</DIV>
<DIV> </DIV>
<DIV>Some will disagree - but - here are some considerations -</DIV>
<DIV> </DIV>
<DIV>Changes in weather will change engine power - and therefore the "best" curve or power at the notch - setting this up every day will drive you nuts.</DIV>
<DIV> </DIV>
<DIV>In calm air, the throttle controls airspeed and PACE. When the wind blows, you want to use the throttle to control PACE to maintain the same presentation - that means different settings for into the wind, and downwind, and the differential between the two increases as the wind increases. The actual airspeed of the plane changes quite a bit as well.</DIV>
<DIV> </DIV>
<DIV>Prop and engine setup can go a long way to making a more constant speed setup - but there are no tricks to learn good throttle management other than practice. FWIW - I run tight TX springs, but have the ratchet filed 90% away on the throttle stick and the tension is quite low.</DIV>
<DIV> </DIV>
<DIV>Regards,</DIV>
