Deluxe Kit” (FG Fuse, Foam Wings / Stab) with all the hardware and all the

the Flap/Ailerons depending on what options you build into it and the torque
rod for elevator (not split halves)…</SPAN></FONT></P></FONT></BLOCKQUOTE></DIV>
<DIV></DIV>
<DIV>I would get rid of that hardware, for sure. Use light servos to drive each
surface back there and on ailerons. At 88" the span is only about a foot longer
than our typical pattern model meaning the area is probably no more than
about 150-200 sq inches greater, roughly 10%. That means the model should
weigh no more than 16 pounds to fly somewhat like you are used to. You probably
couldn't get equivalent weight to a pattern model considering the overbuilding
back then. Choose the wood included in the kit accordingly and freely substitute
as you see fit with 8 pound stock. The landing gear should be tossed.</DIV>
<DIV> </DIV>
<DIV>The foam wing doesn't need fancy anything in that small size. Just sheet as
you would a typical pattern wing. Go as light as you can on stab, and if rudder
weighs more than about 1 1/2 ozs(say... 2ozs max) it's too heavy.
Build one up from sticks and cover in 1/32" balsa again around 8 pound
stock.</DIV>
<DIV> </DIV>
<DIV>Good luck; sounds like fun project of carving. And take it easy with paint
of that glass fuse</DIV>
