Very sad news.  I have fond memories of attending his contest a few times over the years, mostly back in the 90’s.  He gave a lot to the hobby and helped make it what it is, both in building and flying.

Just saw on another group Bob recently passed away. This is very sad news... If you competed in the Northeast or went to the Nat's you would see Bob competing and or was the CD. Bob held the longest running pattern contest with the AGS (Aeroguidance Society) he would run 3 lines with 70 pilots and get all 6 rounds in and his contest ran top notch with a large number of prizes. Bob was one of my mentors and coaches in both in flying and running a contest.  I remember at one of the Nat's I was Bob's caller for the Q500 pylon races.  Bob was well versed in Pylon and Pattern and old cars. He will be greatly missed!    Blue skies and calm winds and thank you for all the help and memories.
