[NSRCA-discussion] Swept wings?

Several designers have come out with swept wing pattern planes.  Seems like
CPLR's Oreka was the first (in recent years).  Now others are following,
notably in the Yang-produced designs, but also in the V2 Cuantic from CA
Model.
Thoughts on why and what the benefits and tradeoffs might be?  A gimmick?
