I would imagine that most of us typically read our own district article and skim the others for photos and contest results.    For those of you NOT in D4 I would HIGHLY encourage you to take the time to read our districts column.  This one.  The prior one.  All of them.

When Jeff Aranyos wrote for D5… it was a never miss column, and he never disappointed.    I would argue vehemently that Scott McNickle has set a new bar for thoughtful pattern related content.  Month after month.  And now year after year.  He’s never mailed it in…

Sorry to gush, but in a time when our hobby is struggling, it’s a pleasure to promote someone that’s making a profound effort.

Thanks Scott.  Looking forward to seeing you in Muncie and reading your next rumination.
