On another note. Facing north the sun is NEVER an issue in September. You can fly daylight to dark. I am set up exactly the same as Muncie.

The solution is to make the reservations ahead of time. Works.

Someone mentioned Ball State football. That has to be taken into consideration. Obviously, hotel rooms are at a premium and low availability if we pick the wrong week, particularly leading into Friday night. Most college communities require booking all three days, Friday - Sunday, on college weekends. September date is fine with me, but then I'm retired. Weather would certainly be cooler. Sun may be an issue in the morning, though. ..Charlie

That is something I would have to pursue with AMA at this upcoming meeting to see if they would even consider it at their facility, but also the BoD would need to consider if the school issues will affect the attendance as well.

So there seems to be some good comments around the idea of a Sept Nats… (based on our statistically irrelevant sample sizes of 11 people that post comments, but hey, who’s actually counting?). What is required to determine if this is even possibly an option?

Monty, is that something you have to pursue, or is that our NSRCA board that secures the dates?
