The problem is that AMA won’t give us any week in July except that one because we didn’t have the Nats in Muncie this year. August is not available because they already have a helicopter event and such that takes up both of the two weeks of August. So we either take the first week which is hard because we will loose people who have family plans on the 4th of July weekend, or don’t want to travel that weekend. We will most probably have the hotels already full on the Friday so those staying for the banquet will have to change hotels for one night.

I’m not even sure yet if the June dates are open or not as AMA is not answering my questions yet.

Also AMA is trying to condense the entire Nats into a 30 day event so they are pushing all events to condense.

It appears AMA is giving up on supporting competition and trying to focus on only government intervention.

I am trying to see if we can even generate enough entries that week to fill the needed judging positions to be able to support the event.

If the 2020 Nats were held July 6th thru the 10th, which means you would be traveling to Muncie on the 4th of July weekend, and the following weekend is the Ball State University Triathelon that normally make hotel reservations almost impossible to get for the Friday July 10th thru that weekend, (note the awards banquet would be held on the Friday night July 10th), will you attend?

If you have no plans on attending the Nats, please do not respond to this question. I am trying to see, of those who normally plan to attend and those planning to attend in 2020 who would change their mind and not attend due to the dates.
