[NSRCA-discussion] Battery for 18mz

I sold my Kraft Signature Series and got into Futaba PCM when they first arrived. Yep, a little pricey—but I’ve had very little problem with them over almost 40 years. One thing I’ve learned to appreciate is they aren’t real touchy at low voltage in receivers—they get glitchy and let you know something is wrong in time to land unlike some others that just quit. Which brings up a Charlie Reed story: He had had an issue with an airborne battery pack (not Futaba)—but thought the glitches were caused by something else. Long story short, he crashed the airplane and the freshly charged pack had a dead as a doornail cell. He picked it up and threw it as far as he could into the over0fly area—he could still see it, so he walked out to it in the middle of the contest—picked it up and threw it AGAIN! He was a little pissed.
BTW—if anyone knows of the whereabouts of my old Kraft Sig set—it has my name on it—please let me know!
Thanks,
Richard Strickland

I wish. Had to use the Futaba pack.

Didn't Robert Green use a regular LiPo pack for his 18MZ years ago?

I'm sure glad I DO fly Futaba.
