Stu,
We really appreciate your comments. The Double Immelmann has only horizontal components(rolling components) so we do not divide the additional components by two as we do in for example stall turns, and square loops with components on vertical, or vertical and horizontal legs.  The vertical component must be there.  That being said there is an inconsistency in the way the Double Immelmann with knife edge was calculated.  We should not have added in the ¼ rolls since the ¼ roll is assumed in the knife edge.  Anything other than a ¼ roll will have additional kfactors added in for knife edge maneuvers.  This and other comments will all be taken into account before actual implementation.

This is how the double Immelmann should be calculated.

Below is the wording for when we divide by two on additional components.  The short explanation is if a maneuver only has horizontal rolling components there will be no dividing by two.

"Any maneuver with multiple rolling elements and either, horizontal and vertical components, or multiple vertical components, to the Kfactor for the base maneuver, add the Kfactor for the rolling element with the highest Kfactor as the initial added Kfactor, then on remaining rolling elements divide those Kfactors by 2, and add them to the total .  Examples of maneuvers: Square Loops, Double Stall Turns, etc."
