Would like to thank Monte, Kris and Jim Martin, and the RAMS club for a great contest... this event known as the Cajun NATS.   After enjoying Cajun burgers, Saturday night dinner and super weather that gave the pilots just enough wind challenge on a couple of flights.  The conditions remained pleasant and calm most of the weekend, sunny and very nice.  Great seeing old friends and meeting new ones.  Great to see Paul Verger, Ron Segura, Jamie Strong, Mark Hunt, Mike Harrison, Bryan Hebert and so many others.  Great to see Joseph as well!  Beth and I enjoyed the finest hospitality.

P.,S. for those who flew pattern about 30 years ago, the D3 Championships was in Dixie in October as well.  Kearny LeJeune and Jim Fife "wrote the book" on how to run a successful pattern contest, literally.  They published the book that was detailed right down to the burger recipe (a.k.a., Kearny Burgers).  I wish I still had that book but I long since passed it on to another CD.  Great event!

I’ll be there. By the way, this years shirts are blue. Field is prepped and the box lines are painted and ready to go. Weather is going to be excellent. Gumbo weather by the weekend. Looks like we’ll have 7 or 8 campers there by Wednesday evening.
