[NSRCA-discussion] D4 Sportsman

Hah! Well. I have access to a printer capable of printing, folding and saddle-stitch stapling double-sided tabloid sheets (11 x 17) to form 8.5 x 11 booklets.

If I were to put together a “sportsman intro” packet that included the maneuver descriptions along with the articles from Model Aviation that discuss each maneuver in detail. Would there be interest? The cost (relative to what FedEx/Kinkos or Alphagraphics charges) would be fairly nominal, about $0.40 per tabloid sheet in use, so for a 20 page booklet (5 tabloid sheets) the cost would be about $2 per booklet.

The booklets wouldn’t be laminated. But I do also have the ability to print and laminate call sheets with calls on one side and aresti on the other at, again, cost of materials vs. cost of a commercial print shop.

Cost. Multiple of 4 pages on one piece of paper, and it's cheaper than 20 pages.
OK 20 pages. Front cover, 18 maneuver descriptions, and a back cover.

Let me see what I can do on the handout. Why 16 pages only?

I carry several sportsman call cards in my car to hand out to those interested.
attached is spread sheet that I print from and fold in half, cut, then have laminated at FedEx.
Might make a good handout.
I would be interested in a 16 page 5-1/2 x 8-1/2 (4 sheets printed both sides, 8-1/2 x 11 folded in half and stapled) booklet to hand out to sportsman using the maneuver diagrams for each maneuver in sequence.
Toledo is coming up April, good place to try this idea.

Back when I was flying and a CD I always kept Sportsman Call cards and manuever descriptions printed out and in my radio case. If anyone showed any interest they would get a copy. I also had a Hobbico Avistar that had been modified a bit that I could use to show them that any plane could fly Sportsman.

In the interest of attracting more Sportsman participants, I've added the following promotion to our 2018 Nats Tune Up contest. Wanted to share it - nothing new really, but thought there might be other CDs that would be interested. We're also going to email it to club presidents within 100 miles.
