[NSRCA-discussion] Election

There was an email a couple of weeks ago. I don't recall who sent it.
It stated words to the effect...
"It is very close, get your votes in..."
This implies that the votes are being tallied real time and somebody had access to the vote count.
We don't know the fact at this point. Just opinions.
However, if somebody had access and knew the real time results, then an unfair advantage is created. This person could rally their side base on this knowledge.
If this is the case then the election was compromised.
If it was an officer or candidate, the sanction should be that they lose their candidate or office status. To make the statement, "It is very close" should never have been made.
Why, because I don't want somebody in office with ethic issues. If it was an  innocent mistake, then I don't want that person in office who is reckless.
If the results were compromised it should have immediately been brought forward to the board and dealt with. Integrity should have prevailed. The appearance or perception is that it did not.

I don’t see a problem with revealing that the election is very close and reminding our members that every vote counts.
It’s a get out the vote tool.
