[NSRCA-discussion] Real Flight 8 Pattern planes?

I’ve probably mentioned that as well in regards to the resolution. Works real well with close in flying like 3D and helis. Pattern will give you issues in the turnarounds. Gets difficult to follow the orientation of the plane due to insufficient resolution. Center maneuvers are fine. I do use it for practice. Better than flying off the computer monitor for that.
The programs made for VR really don’t have the resolution issue. What you need to see is either big enough or close enough.
And some of the stuff is pretty cool 🙂

RFX is no where near as capable of extension as RF8 and earlier. I think RFX was an experiment from KnifeEdge that they recognized as a failure. I made the mistake of buying it and then buying RF8 upgrade a few months later for the Oculus Rift support.

The VR capability shows *real* promise. We just need the VR glasses to have higher resolution to make it usable for RC sims.

I don’t see a category for RFX compatible files. Is RFX compatible with any other non RFX version?

Search for Spark and there are 3 or 4 Spark Evo’s available.

Sent you a link to some drop box files. Based on the Krill Spark available and modified to look like an Allure. Not sure if you need all 3 files or just the main one. Anyway flies pretty well for me on Real Flight.

I just received a gift of the RF8 flight simulator and while it has many available aircraft to fly, there are no 2M pattern planes to fly in the game. Someone has set up a field with the center pole and 45 deg poles and that is a very handy feature but I've been trying to find any 2M pattern planes that someone may have put together and would be willing to share. With all the lousy weather that we've had for most of the spring/summer so far this year, this is the best chance to get in a little pattern practice.
