[NSRCA-discussion] It's WORLD CHAMPIONSHIP TIME!!!!

HIGHLY unlikely that we’ll have bandwidth to stream. If you look at Villa Gesell on the map, you’ll see it’s a VERY small little coastal town, and we’ll be there off season (it’s still early spring there). The runway is inland and sit’s very isolated. I don’t have high hopes for actual wifi. Similar to the trip in South Africa, they had a wifi router, but it was connected to something akin to a dial up line. With 33 countries all trying to post scores, upload photos, and chat, it can be impossible to even get a connection. More than likely we’ll be relegated to sending updates in the evening from our lodge, or more likely from a local restaurant that offers Wifi.

Trust me, the desire to share every moment of the event is high. Step one is just getting there!

It’s Time!!! Team USA is packing their bags, loading their crates and scrambling to remember everything we’ll need to succeed in Argentina. We all know that part of winning at any pattern event is preparation and the WC’s is that in spades. The logistics of traveling with 8 2m Pattern planes in crates, getting lithium 10cell battery packs past TSA and Customs, finding vehicle that will transport 10 people and 8 planes, tools boxes, spare equipment, chargers… well it’s daunting. Finding generators for power, adapters for power conversion, finding McDonalds for Jason… well, you get the idea.

This group has been working for weeks and months to have everything we need for this trip. My point is that winning at this level is more than just great thumbs, these guys are PREPARED. In every sense of the word.

We all fly out this weekend on overnight flights to Buenos Aires and have a 5 hour drive down to Villa Gesell on Monday to the contest site. Assuming we have at least some access to wifi, I will do my best to write updates on the "USA F3A World Championship Team" Facebook page - https://www.facebook.com/USA-F3A-World-Championship-Team-541836459181879/

I don’t know if there will be real time score posting like the Swiss had or not, but if so I will post the links.

I keep posting it, but please please please check out the team fund raising raffle on the team site - https://www.teamusaf3a.com/index.php/giant-raffle We’ll be doing the drawing in December after we return!

Wish us luck and GO TEAM USA!!!
