Joe is definitely not eligible as a Junior.  This was his 3rd and last.

There is some ambiguity in the way the rule is written and And I believe Joe got some clarification from Peter Uhlig before he left ( he might join in here ).

Just as the reigning WC has an open invite to compete regardless of him qualifying in his Home country, they are extending the same privilege to the Jr World Champion.  An open invite to compete regardless of home country qualification be that as the top Jr or in the open class.

He would not be eligible to compete for the Jr Championship, just eligible to compete overall.

To be clear though, to be part of our team, for all purposes, meaning team points, team trophy, team funding, he would have to make our team in the traditional manner.   That’s similar to the scenario Quique had after ‘07.
