Russ and others,

The best thing to do is to ship your fuel ahead of time. Go to the manufacturer and have them ship direct. They have all the stuff to make shi:

Subject: [NSRCA-discussion] Shipping airplane to Nats

What method(s) do folks use to get airplanes to the Nats. I'm in Sacramento, CA. I've looked at UPS and FedEx, but the cost seems very high. Looked into Greyhound and I'm even thinking Southwest cargo since I'm flying with them.

My airplane has a 1-piece wing, so I'm sure that isn't helping. In fact, I haven't even found a shipping box, yet. I'm thinking of making one of coroplast that's about 72 x 20 x 30 (in inches).

To complicate it further, I run glow fuel. Is there a secret for shipping fuel, starters, etc?

This will be my first nats and I have no idea what to expect. Any suggestions will be greatly appreciated.

thanks,

Russ Nichols
