I wanted to add my thanks to all these gentlemen as well as Al Glenn. These were thankless, volunteer positions, without them, it could never have been done. I wanted to especially thank Mike Harrison. Without his vision, this could have never been reality. Thank you to the city of Blytheville, who welcomed our “Toy Airplane” contest. The venue was perfect, and huge, to say the least. And the icing on the cake was the dedication of the B52 Memorial. We must never forget the sacrifices these men and women make in the defense of our freedoms! Many lives were lost so that we remain free! What a wonderful display of air power with the fly by of the B52! What a machine!. To think, it was designed in the 50’s, and many of the airframes flying are older than the air crews that fly them!

It was truly a memorable and unique event, and I learned much more about this country's history by talking to the many folks who flew the B52 aircraft and the crews that maintain and kept (keep) them alert-ready over the last 57 years. I also learned a few things about Ron Chidgey I had not known and got to thank him for his contributions (having built a couple of Typhoons back in the day). I've been motivated to do a write up when I get home on NATS experiences.

I will paypal a dontation when I get home to help cover the expenses of this site. It was very useful tool in our preparing for the NATS.
