Actually, there is much more! Playing Chess after flying while listening your favorite FM station - priceless.

Thanks Peter. There’s more information in there than I can swallow and digest in one read.

Please note: the Jeti Transmitter was provided by Esprit Model, the US distributor for Jeti products. With JR in decline, etc. I would strongly encourage everyone to take a look at what Jeti can do for you as a pattern pilot:
All channels fully assignable
All receivers handle all 24 channels (the -9, etc. just indicates the # of servo outputs)
All RX outputs programmable for servo, digital output, LED strip control, UDI output, EX-bus output, etc.
Telemetry built into all receivers -- I no longer fly with a timer, I use the telemetry from my Mezon-90 to tell me when I've burned 3700mAh and set up to land before I get to 4000 on my 5000 packs. This allows me to get in one full practice sequence and then go back and re-fly a couple maneuvers that I feel need more practice.
New transmitter functions can be programmed by the user using a simple standard scripting language (LUA) -- I programmed mine to get telemetry from an RFID tag on the battery and set the threshold for the aforementioned mAh burned alarm to an appropriate level for the size of the battery. I also set up to alarm if I arm up with a discharged flight pack. No more rounds lost to a failure to swap out batteries!
12 bit (4096 step) resolution on all channels
programmable signal groups, decide which channels should get their signal movement guaranteed simultaneously (i.e. ensure both elevator servo signals are always sent in the same transmitter packet).
unlimited model memory
Mismatched model/RX pairing warning to ensure you don't try to fly a plane with the wrong model memory
Audio player capability including pointing it at a directory full of wav files and playing one at a time per button click (perfect for using the radio as a caller)
Any voice/audio on any event (want a continuous voice warning that you are in spin, stall, snap, etc. mode? No problem!)
Most intuitive model programming I've ever encountered
And a score of things that aren't allowed in pattern, but are incredibly useful in other disciplines, like having the transmitter take actions as a result of telemetry data (i.e. immediately drop throttle to zero when altitude telemetry reads a specific value which is used extensively in altitude limited electric soaring (ALES), etc.
The lightest receiver available on the market (the R-7 Nano, 2g) perfect for F3P
The DS-24 should clear FCC very soon, the DC-24 has already cleared. During the holidays you get a free R-9 RX (Yes, Ron will be getting his DS-24 with an R-9).
