WOW!! My wife typed my MS thesis and dissertation on an old Smith Corona electric portable! what an ordeal. Every typo required a new piece of paper and a re-typing of that page! How well we know those days! Thank someone for computer, but D#%n that spell-check. I had a colleague whose last name was Tufano, and the computer always turned it into Tuna! lol I think we still have that old electric portable...

It was a task getting everything together and in the mail less thantwo weeks after returning from the Nats. Remember, the photos were on film! My wife originally typed the column on an old portable typewriter.

I did the Nats report in Model Aviation for many years and it’s a big job getting the data from all the entrants.
