One of the reasons are as follows
1. Cost for the average flyer, whether its netro, or elect.
2.The same people always take home the wood. When you point out it should say you will move up not wait till next year and fly national in the class you have dominated for 2 plus years.
3.I myself love to fly pattern but you know what after you spend $250 to 300 dollars and before you go to contest you all ready know you're going to lose.
4.I love the fellowship and the hospitality.but am getting tired of being the last dog in the pack.
I've been practicing most of the time by myself but maybe just maybe there will only be three flyers in my class and I can take home some wood.
4.Its a sport were there is no incentive to fly in competition.??? Self gratification is great but it doesn't pay for the plane I just crashed at the contest or money for the hotel or gas or food.
