Much too much trouble……the following Lipo disposal method works but not recommended…….Just lose control at around 200 ft because of a radio failure….straight in produces a “spectacular” flame and smoke column around 15 ft back up in the air and the batteries are a charred mess, absolutely no voltage left and easy to discard. Just be sure to have some sand around to …..well you know the rest….sigh L

Subject: [NSRCA-discussion] How to Dispose of Lipo

The real way to dispose of a lipo.

1. overcharge it until it gets warm, but not too hot, and starts to puff.

2. take it out and put it in the driveway.

3. put on leather gloves.

4. get a hammer and a large nail.

5. drive the nail through the pack with one swift blow making sure all cells are punctured as once.

Extra credit if you invite the neighborhood kids to watch.
