Matthew, I don’t believe you could load a 350 grain bullet in a 7.62 NATO 
round and chamber it in your rifle.

Remington 308 high power rifle
350 grain bullet @ 175 yards

The process I use is to 
fully discharge the pack using a automotive tail light bulb, strip the mail 
leads back a couple inches and twist them together then dispose of if in the 
trash.  Fully discharged, lipos pose no environmental 
dangers.
