The difference is not the material but the construction. They are both carbon one is hollow and made with cloth made from carbon fiber, lighter. The other one is solid and made with carbon fiber not the cloth type. They are different applications one for glow one is for electric motors. Althoug the hollow construction can be used for glow / gas but is heavier than the electric version.

I'm ignorant of CF prop technology I guess. What's the difference in a carbon prop and a carbon fiber prop?Dave From: NSRCA-discussion [mailto:nsrca-discussion-bounces at lists.nsrca.org] On Behalf Of Peter Vogel via NSRCA-discussion

Subject: Re: [NSRCA-discussion] New APC CF Props Jon C flew with one during practice in Orange County a week ago.  They aren't exactly carbon fiber, just using carbon instead of glass fiber, lighter than an APC, heavier than a true carbon prop. On Mon, Apr 11, 2016 at 2:05 PM, vanputte at cox.net <nsrca-discussion at lists.nsrca.org> wrote: Has anyone used any new APC 20.5x14 carbon fiber E props yet?  If so, what's the report?  They are certainly less expensive than the Falcon CF props.  Sent from my HTC One on the Verizon Wireless 4G LTE network
