No matter how slow you recharge, that is reverse the battery chemistry by adding the electrons your motor removed, some heat will be generated from irreversible losses in the reaction. Similar reasons why a battery gets warm when being discharged....the chemistry is being changed
 
What I don't get is how this is a "fun fact for Lipos". Isn't it more a "fact of Lipo life"?
