[NSRCA-discussion] Nat's Event director - Bob Kane

I could write a small novelette here about Bob Kane, the extraordinary effort, time commitment, and planning that he put in to run the Nats for us, but the general message would be lost.  Bob sacrificed two years of HIS hobby, flying pattern, so that we could better enjoy ours.    He deserves more thank you’s for this effort than we can possibly give him.

In addition to the Thank You’s, let’s also NOT give him the back seat driving, hindsight inspired diatribe of critique that we seem so willing to throw forth after these events conclude.  He did a fantastic job, and did so with numerous hurdles thrown in his path.

Bob, Thank you for the work you did on our behalf.  Thank you for sacrificing 2 years of practice and competing so that I could better enjoy my pattern experience.   Thank you for running a great national championship.  And thank you for being a good friend.

To Al Glenn who has graciously and generously stepped up to replace Bob, I’ll start the thank you’s early.  We know the contest is in good hands and I look forward to experiencing your “flavor” of the Nationals in 2016.  I’m sure you will get all the support that the NSRCA and this great group of modelers is capable of providing.
