I'll put mine in 1/32" high characters under the tail. Make 'em search.

I haven’t been able to determine a requirement for the registration number, other than it be accessible without tools.  How about a tiny number on a minuscule strip of paper inside the canopy accessible via a hatch latch?

Yes, in fact just google any N-number and a number of websites ( not just the FAA) will offer the owner's information.

As I indicated before, no one will ever see my registration number on my plane. The rule says accessible without tools, so won't ever be seen. If you don't see it, you can't search on it.

You know if you put a full size plane N number in a search you get all the owner info as well any accident info..  You can do searches on many things..

I think people are over reacting and if you AMA safety code compliant your info is already in public view.

My sense is that one would have to have an actual registration number to search on, in order to see who it belongs to, when this function is released...

“...When the drone registry system is modified to permit public searches of registration numbers, names and addresses will be revealed through those searches."

Is that how others are reading this bit of bad news?

Yeah, they already had to provide me and millions of others Lifelock because the Office of Personnel Management got hacked.  Why the hell the FAA thinks they need to publish my personal information completely escapes me.
