[NSRCA-discussion] GO USA!

I hope there are some other wives reading, watching what is going on over there. I've been having a ball figuring out all the countries from which all the pilots are from, figuring out each day what chance we have of making Team Ch., and I've had to learn how to use new applications (I guess that's what they are called) on the computer so that I could print each day's preliminary's scores. I even had the numbers correct! I am so proud of me and even more so, much more so, of our TeamUSA! I am disappointed that the weather is not going to allow for semi's tomorrow. I'm really impatient! I want to know. I had to wait for the list to explain that Junior scores would be counted and that nothing would be finalized until the Finals are complete. This has been so exciting. Ron is surprised how much attention I've paid to this wonderful event, did so for the Indoors, too. Hopefully the AMA will be pleased with the talent the US has to offer. Maybe I'm just a silly Wife and Mother of life-long flyers, but what better hobby could a Father and Son have together! Keep the info coming. It is sincerely appreciated. GO TEAM USA! CHALLENGE ACCEPTED!!!!

That said, I challenge anyone to write this stuff up everyday! I don’t know how bloggers and reporters do it. Apologies for all the redundancy. We’re watching dozens of flights every day, and the details all blur together. Also, I want to be very careful not to call specific scores or particular maneuvers into question. The judges that are here are working in 95deg heat IN the sun most of the day (the shelter would block their view) evaluating 25 flights over a 3.5 hour period. They’ve been extremely consistent across 4 days. I.e they’re working hard, and it’s really really easy to question what / why / how they give the scores they give when you’re watching with a passionate interest for (or against) a particular pilot. So I’m left with general impressions, final scores, and ancillary antics to write about :)

I’m glad people are enjoying the information though. That makes it easier to get it done every day. Just getting started on todays and it’s 12:30am here.

I have a challenge for Mark. He can't use the word "solid" for the rest of the week😜. Keep the updates coming. Very entertaining. Good luck!!!

I was going to say that I was amused that Joseph’s last name (Szczur) was spelled correctly but Jason’s (Shulman) was not. Oops, I just did.

3. Jesky 2951.42

7. Schulman

All 4 of our guys move on to the Semi finals! And Joseph is obviously at the top of the juniors.

On the team side:

Team USA is in first with a total score of 16, Japan in 2nd with a total of 23, France at 41 looks like 3rd.
