Thank you both for the help. I ended up installing the program on my Windows 7 laptop and it seems to be working now. I used the links you provided instead of the link on the NSRCA website. My Vista laptop is 32 bit and doesn't seem to be compatible at all with the program.
Thanks again

Oh. And this was a first-time install, so uninstall/reinstall not possible.

The person is running Vista, which is 32 bit, when setting up installers you should ALWAYS include x64 and x86 builds unless you know you'll always be running on a 64bit machine. MicroSoft's recommendation is to have two installers, one for 32 bit and one for 64 bit machines, but it is possible to use conditions to do the right thing.

CLR types is listed as a prerequisite although I only selected x64. I suppose someone running 32 bit may have an issue. From feedback Ive received so far, uninstalling and reinstall has worked every time.

Need the SQL CLR redistributables too, that's the problem here, I think. I pointed him at them

Yes, Setup.exe will do the prerequisites and the app. About six months back I switched to doing the build on Windows 8.1. I hadn't noticed that my environment didn't have the referenced version, but did have the later. Updating the build configuration broke compatibility with previous versions, so before upgrading to 1.0.4.5, you must uninstall first. -----Original Message-----From: NSRCA-discussion [mailto:nsrca-discussion-bounces at lists.nsrca.org] On Behalf Of Jon Lowe via NSRCA-discussionSent: Sunday, August 31, 2014 8:58 AMTo: NSRCASubject: Re: [NSRCA-discussion] Scott Smith Master Scoring program Scott,Does that one program now install everything, report viewer and Master Scoring? Unfortunately the Click Once update does not update the prerequisites (Report Viewer). So if you are upgrading an existing install, please go to Control Panel | Programs and uninstall Master Scoring first (your data will remain). Then using Internet Explorer, do a new install from: http://amapatternscore.blob.core.windows.net/clickonce/publish.htm Sorry for any inconvenience. For all users and CD's....please, please do this before the day of your contest! Please verify everything is working as required in advance. I will do everything I can to assist in the weeks before your event. I am getting errors on the installation telling me that the Publisher of Reportviewer.msi can not be verified and the program exits the installation. It looks like the program tries to install Report Viewer 2012 Runtime but fails. I tried downloading Report Viewer Runtime directly from Microsoft and my browser is reporting it as an unsafe program. Any help would be appreciated.
