Hey Mike it was a real pleasure finally meeting you face to face and getting
a chance to spend a few minutes chatting. Watched you fly and it was super
and very smooth. After watching you fly I better spend more than once a week
practicing. I have a great picture of you and your plane and I'll forward it
to you this week.

Subject: [NSRCA-discussion] Bakersfield California Contest

 

 Bobby and I want to thank the club in Arvin/Bakersfield for their
hospitality.

 This is very close to the best RC event I've ever attended. 

 I can't believe how much fun we had.

 FAI was full of top competitors too.

 They have a unique class called FAI Silver where the Masters class get's
split and one ground flew the P15 schedule. I think it worked very well.

 All classes flew on Sunday with some amount of unknowns. That's a lot of
fun too.

 If anyone wants to see a new event it's here. Basically it's a cross
between Classic Pattern and Pylon. I'll have a plane for that next year.

 The host club bent over backward to assure the guests were taken care of.

 Saturday was colder than Chicago but still we had a enough good weather to
overcome it.

 This is the equivalent of the west coast Nationals.

 I'm making plans soon to do it again next year.
