I’ve been using them (5S 4500).
The weight for a pair with Deans plugs is 995 g.

Oops, actual weight you gave is lower than the spec for that HP 4500mah 30c.

I just received two of the Hobby People's 5S 4500mAh 30C Lipos.

On sale at $59.99ea

Here is the link:

http://www.hobbypeople.net/index.php/hobby-people-18-5v-4500mah-5s-30c-lipo-battery.html

Initial reaction - Much smaller than the 5S packs I'm using now. was a kind of an eye opener for me.

My current 5S lipos:
Capacity: 5000mAh
C Rating - 30C/40C
Weight - 623g (+/- 2g); or, 1,247 per pair (two bricks) w/ T-connector
IR Avg/cell - 28 mohms +/- 4mohms

Hobby People 5S lipos:
Capacity: 4500mAh
C Rating - 30C
Weight - 495g (+/- 2g); or, 991g per pair (two bricks) w/ T-connector
IR Avg/cell - 25 mohms +/- 5mohms

I have not flown the Hobby People Lipos yet. So I have no opinion on performance.

With that said, I will lose 257g using HP Lipos or a tick over 9 ounces... This is crazy... I need to look and see if my scal is working properly....

My 2M Monolog will be under 10-1/2 pounds with those batteries dispite the fact I painted the Canopy and the LG/Pants and after repai of the collapsed gear.

Sounds too good to be true, so I will need to double check again tonight.

I will need to check CG before flying the HP battery...
