Steve Hannah and I fly some pattern (Steve more than me) at the OCMA
field behind Irvine Lake.

It has a locked gate, but contact Steve or I and we can get you in.
The field at the old El Toro base is not "under construction", and has
been there a while now. It is an all electric field that I do not think
is suitable for flying a pattern plane at.

That's about it in the OC. There's a field at Prado Regional Park east
of OC. Some pattern guys there on occasion. The club there is the Pomona
Valley Model Airplane Club (PVMAC).
Touch base when you are closer to getting here.
