[NSRCA-discussion] list

Karl,

As noted in part by others –

12, 14, and 16 are number of turns of wire on the windings in the motor.

All others things equal, more turns (of smaller diameter wire) will reduce the KV (the RPM per volt the motor will run at).

For a given motor, lipo, and prop…..you can increase the power by decreasing the number of winds, or increasing the number of lipo cells, or increasing the prop size…..of course you want to stay within the voltage/current ratings of each component.

Regards,

Dave

What is the difference between the Hacker A50-12S vs 14S vs 16S?

Hey guys. As Mike said I am from Boise, ID. I have been flying for about 8 years. I flew in the Pattern contest that Mike Riggs organized in 2009 and now I am finally committing to get serious. Just bought the BJ Craft Monolog 70 to build over the winter. (If any of you guys have this plane send we what you set it up with - motor, esc, servos, battery. I am thinking about Hacker A50, Castle Ice 100, Hitec 7975, and 5C 5000).

DO NOT PICK ON MIKE - I need him as my coach (well, you have to take what you can get here in Boise, LOL)

Oh good! Now we can pick on Mike as well.

Welcome.

Now you're supposed to write something silly so we can all pick on you. <VBG>
