[NSRCA-discussion] National Ranking System?

I would more likely attend a contest outside of my district if it was within
a reasonable distance and if I knew there would be a higher than normal
turnout for my class (Advanced).
I've seen this similar effect in D4.
The turnout for combined D4/D5 contests are higher than normal because most
competitors like participating in contests with higher turnout.
It's not uncommon for some D1/D2/D5 guys to attend D4 contest especially if
they know the turnout will be high and the contest will be well run.
No one wants to drive a long way and compete in a class with low turnout.
I and others I'm sure are willing to put up with lower turnout for local
contests but not for contests outside our home district.
My 2 cents.

Would a National Ranking System similar to what's used in amateur tennis
<http://www.usta.com/Adult-Tennis/USTA-League/Information/About_NTRP/> get
you to go to a contest that you normally wouldn't attend?
