It will also depend on how close he can get to his neighbor’s window without them hearing the rotors. It’s the optical zoom lenses that will get expensive. . .

I have a tricopter setup with a cam pod. A $50 Nikon camera(sale at Best Buy)with HD mem card. This whole setup was less then $300. Depends on how much he wants to spend. Quads with go pro cam can get pricy.

The simplest one step purchase would be a DJI Phantom. Then add a GoPro 3 and you're set.

Bobby Watts is doing the same… Currently filming pro surfers in Bali for Oakley from a multi-copter. It's all pro stuff, but might be someone to reach out to.

Hi Bob,
I've seen a few but I do know (since I live basically next door to him) that Curtis Youngblood is really getting involved with FPV quad-copter stuff. You may want to look him up. If you need direction, let me know.

While at a graduation party this weekend, my brother-in-law asked me if I knew a source for a quadcopter with a video camera. He said he wanted a "bigger" one, without defining exactly what that means. I have done some internet searches but everything I can find is either a micro with a camera or professional grade for lots of money. Does anyone know of a "everything you need to know to research/purchase a video quadcopter" site? Thanks.
